Housekeeping

September is here and that means that we are a little over a month away from the beginning of the hockey season, which means that most of your drafts should be occurring somewhere in the next 2 -4 weeks. That means that I've got to get certain things on the site post-haste.

The team previews are fun, and useful I hope, but as I'm a one man crew here I'm going to finish the central division over the course of the week and shift my energy to the player rankings. By the end of the week I hope to have a top 40 for all three forward categories available on the site. I should have a Top 80 0r so D-men (since its a much deeper position in most leagues) and Top 30 goalies by Monday or Tuesday of next week.

I'm currently working on a tier system but I think that may only apply to D-men and goalies. There are very few forwards that will contribute for you across the board and the key is really getting a nice mix among your forwards across all categories. As such tiering is almost unnecessary... its all in what you need and what is available for that in a particular round (or you can draft best available and worry about it later). One of the nice things about fantasy hockey is its more complicated then football and less predictable then baseball. Heh.

The Team Previews are going to come a little less fast and furious this week while I work all of this out, but I'll still try to keep you up to date on all the happenings in the hockey world.
